Overview
Our Biblical mandate for Youth Ministry is found in Ephesians 4:11-12, which states:
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
The goal of our youth program is to train teenagers to do the work of the ministry. We do this by providing opportunities for worship, service, education, fellowship, and evangelism.
Worship
This pillar is accomplished primarily through our Sunday morning worship service. The teens have opportunity to sing in the adult choir, play an offertory, or provide special music.
Service
Service is accomplished through the various ministries of our church. Teens serve as AWANA workers, nursery workers, children's church helpers, and VBS workers
Education
Education is accomplished through our Sunday school program as well as Engleside Christian School. The kids also have yearly trips to Christian camps where they have a week packed full of strong Bible teaching and preaching along with great games and activities.
Fellowship
Fellowship is accomplished through the various activities scheduled for our teens. Activities are scheduled twice a month. Sometimes they are big organized weekend events, and other times just planned get-get togethers after the Sunday evening service.
Evangelism
Evangelism is accomplished through scheduled outreach events such the Cola Wars or Vacation Bible School.
